Cole, a musical cabaret based on the life story and music of Cole Porter, offers audiences a night of stylish entertainment with memorable songs and narrative about the life and music of the legendary composer.
The venue is the Wagga RSL Club Mirage room, which enhances the cabaret feel of the show. A great vocal ensemble has been assembled for the cast of Cole including, Shanul Sharma, Josh McKellar, Lindsay Whitehead, Sue Hingston, Chantelle Anderson, Jenna Harvey, Sam Burmeister, Craig Potts, Glenn Buchanan, David Downey, David Coates, Tony Trench, Judy-Ann Emberson, Cat Jardine. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are also starring in Cole in the persona of Bree Colling and Gavin Hulm.
As the production features both burlesque and vaudeville style of entertainment well known show stoppers Pauline Harvey and Lee Kennedy are choreographing the selected show numbers that include tap, vaudeville and burlesque.
Entertainment is the feature of this show which reflects the elegance, style and stunning costumes of a bygone era - the 30’s and 40’s. A five piece palm court orchestra lead by Nichole Ingram adds further charm to the overall show.
Cole plays in the Mirage Room of the Wagga RSL Club on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 3pm from June 25 to July 4, with a two course meal included for the evening performances and afternoon tea for the Sunday shows. Bookings are at the Civic Theatre Booking Office, phone 69269688.
